Noyd Johnson Carriage House
Overlooking the pond and fishing pier will be the Noyd Johnson Carriage House, named in honor of the Johnson family patriach, whose family owned the Summerwind Plantation property for over one hundred years. Over 9,000 square feet of club space will be completed in 2008. A great hall, library and music room will be found on the main level. On the lower level, the club kitchen, class rooms and arts and crafts spaces will be available for planned events as well as impromptu gatherings. Covered porches on the rear will offer rocking chair views of the fishing pond and the nature trail. A fishing dock and gazebo are being constructed on the pond and will be waiting for you when you arrive! Summerwind will also have two all-weather tennis courts, a lawn bowling green, picnic areas, swings and lots of shade trees for you to relax or nap underneath!
